= 14,909,700

Employment Rate
= 14,909,700/24,284,900
= 61.4%

It should be noted that the Employment Rate differs considerably from the Unemployment Rate in that the Employment Rate is measuring employed as a per cent of the population 15 years of age and over while the Unemployment Rate measures the unemployed as a per cent of the labour force.
